Both! As long as the fight lasts a really long time anyway.

I was wondering when they'd start to turn on each other. One thing about fanatics they often hate one another more than they hate their opponents. I suspect it's because they regard people on the same side who don't quite believe the same as them as traitors.

Their enemies can't help being bad. People on the same side have made an active choice to betray the movement, which is far worse.

Plus, they hate sharing power.

Does Gaffney just hate Norquist because his wife's a Muslim?

Or is there something else Norquist has done with respect to Islam that would cause any concern for a rational human being?

I think I would say 'hoping'. 'Plotting' connotes a certain degree of secrecy, and he's been yowling loudly about this for at least a year.

Well, the ACU looked into the charges and couldn't find anything, and he has been reduced to making his charges through World Nut Daily, so I assume whatever he has is not terribly exciting to the reality-based community.

Part of the problem is that they really have convinced themselves that Muslim women never, in fact, marry non-Muslim men, without those men having secretly converted, or the women having gotten a special 'dispensation' from Islam Central. So if you see a Muslim woman who doesn't cover her hair, and may not be stringent about prayer, and married a Christian guy she met somewhere and liked, this is not merely a woman who decided to do her own thing, because they've convinced themselves that no such Muslims exist. This is a set-up. Because IF such a woman existed, she would have been honor killed on the spot.

Touch choice: death by poison, or death by asphyxiation.

Exactly. To Frank Gaffney, all Muslims are Radical Islamists, and any that say they are not are simply practicing tayquaia.

As if they know what taqiyya really is....even though I probably misspelled it...

Things are getting weirder and weirder.

Can we have our country back please?

Kragar,

Root for Grover Norquist. Like him or not, I don't think Grover Norquist at least isn't peddling paranoid bigoted conspiracy theories, and demonizing everyone of a particular faith. If Norquist goes down, it will only encourage Gaffney to go after other people, and the next person he takes down make be someone who you actually support or even admire. You don't want there to be more victims in his bigoted smear campaign.

DarkFalcon hit the nail on the head. Taqiyya is such a central part of these idiots' conceptual framework that once you allege that someone is a radical Wahhabist, it's essentially a non-falsifiable proposition. It doesn't matter how strongly the accused denies that they're a Super-Scary Seekrit Mooslem, because that's just what a Super-Scary Seekrit Mooslem *would* say, isn't it?

Basically, Gaffney and co. have dug themselves a conspiracy hole so deep that there's no way for them to climb out of it. Of course, given their paranoia and propensity to lash out at perceived enemies anywhere and everywhere, it's probably only a matter of time before they start accusing *each other* of being Super-Scary Seekrit Mooslems. Then it'll really be time to sit back and break out the popcorn.
